Dr. Sohini Dhar is as an Assistant Professor at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), School of Dentistry. Dr. Dhar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health and a Fellow of International College of Dentists (ICD) USA Section. In previous jobs she worked at Harris County Public Health, University of Washington School. Dr. Dhar completed her dental education in India, where she practiced dentistry in multi- specialty clinics for several years. After moving to the United States, she continued her education in dentistry and public health. Dr. Dhar received a Master of Public Health degree from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Public Health and completed her specialty residency in Dental Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), School of Dentistry. Dr. Dhar also has experience of working at Harris County Public Health, University of Washington School of Dentistry, NYU-Langone Dental Medicine, At Still University, American Institute of Dental Public Health, Oral Health Workforce Research Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Dhar serves in leadership roles within several national and state-level professional organizations, like the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD), American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and Texas Oral Health Coalition (TxOHC).
