Description: Creating and implementing a portable, school based dental program can be exciting, especially for the children that you will serve, but there are many players and things to consider. We will discuss challenges that we anticipated, and some that we didn't. These challenges involve communicating with school administration and school staff, contacting the guardians and getting consent, selecting and maintaining dental equipment and supplies, finding the right physical space, and hiring the right dental team members. We will also share some challenges that we anticipated but turned out not to be actual challenges. We will also welcome discussion from attendees who are also providing care in this space.
