Description: Forgoing regular professional dental care is a frequent occurrence in patients with bleeding disorders. Barriers to dental care can include cost, dental provider availability, prior adverse experiences, and lack of knowledge by the dental provider on how to safely manage the oral health of individuals with bleeding disorders. As dental providers, we can and must do better, as patients with bleeding disorders desperately need and deserve our expert care. During this roundtable, learn how a state oral health coalition and state bleeding disorder chapter joined forces to provide resources and support to individuals with bleeding disorders as they learned to navigate and manage their oral health care.
